For the first time since 2007, there’ll be no big New Year’s crossover party for Gospel lovers, after both K-Krew and Mo-Sound Entertainment confirmed that they will not be holding the annual TSO and Groove Party gigs respectively.

It started with the cancellation of the Groove Party, scheduled to be at the KICC, due to security concerns. In a press statement issued by Mo-Sound Entertainment chief Kevin Mulei, the Kenya Police raised a red flag based on available security intelligence, and in the interest of the safety of fans, it was decided to cancel the event altogether.

According to Nairobi police boss Anthony Kibuchi, "Al-Shabaab has threatened to hijack the event and do destructive damage to the participants and the facility."

In its place, Mo-Sound has arranged to have a live TV show on KTN on 31st December from 10pm and will feature Groove Party artists.

The team at K-Krew has also confirmed that there will be TSO event this year, and instead, TSO Volume 7 will be a live in-studio show aired on Citizen TV on the night.

So this 31st, sit back, relax and enjoy your party of choice from the comfort of your home.
