The annual Mavuno Christmas shindig, A Village Christmas, is getting set for its largest showing ever, with five shows planned all the way until Christmas eve. Titled The Love Story, this year's production will be shown to the public on 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd and 24th December, with charges at 800 bob for adults. All shows will be at Mavuno Church in South C, with kick-off slated for 6.30pm on all days.

Award-winning artists Neema and Webi will headline this year's edition of the Twatukuza Concert to be held on 21st, 22nd and 23rd October. Held annually by the Twa Trust, the  concert is aimed at raising funds for the fight against cancer and all proceeds from the show go to the Twa Trust for this purpose. Plans for what is arguably the biggest Gospel hip-hop showing in recent days are nearing completion, as Kenya gets ready to welcome a bevy of Gospel's most loved hip-hop acts. Lecrae, Trip Lee, Tedashii as well as Pro, KB, C-Lite and DJ Official are set to perform on the 18th of November at the Mavuno Dome. The Gospel music scene seems to be experiencing a nuptials season, with both Mo Sound boss (DJ) Kev Mulei and K-Krew's DJ Soxxy tying the knot in a space of just one week. Kev's wedding to Janet took place at the Safari Park Hotel on the 11th while Soxxy followed suit by marrying long-time sweetheart Anne on the 17th of June at the KWS National Park in Nairobi. The annual dance competition event SPAFest wll start off with the preliminary rounds being held on the night of 8th April at the ICC West Campus.
