How many times do we stop and think? Do we? Should we? Well, I have had many a conflict of opinion where that is concerned. As far as I am concerned, I only think…well I guess in exams, you know, where logic is concerned and your gut feeling just won’t do…free spirit is me, a probable danger to some extent.
Here is something to chew on…The heart is universal, the brain is territorial. The heart is outside the brain and technically not subject to brain process….thought process. Note, however, that when we choose to ignore the direction of the heart, the brain takes control. Not always the prettiest sight of course, as it operates purely on logic and is always ready to defend its interests. Given the peace that I find in casting all my cares, burdens and joys on the Lord, I don’t understand, and probably never will, how one would choose to shut down their heart…it’s the haven where the fire of being you burns. Sometimes fiercely, sometimes it’s softly, other times it’s just embers of a fire remaining from despair. From our heart flows such joy, yet such deep sorrow. We love greatly but break just as intensely. I’m very passionate, or so I’m told. While that’s a scary thing because one has to take risks constantly, I think everyone should carry passion with them wherever they go. With passion, you never stay down too long, you laugh hard, love deep, strive intensely, achieve great heights…BUT…yes there is a but, it serves as a weakness too. A big heart full of love gets broken at one point, maybe too often. When you fall you fall hard….two extremes that allow you to drink life out of a big glass. Ultimately, in my opinion, life is life. It’s just how it is…and should be. So who we are and who we become is heavily reliant on us as individuals. Nothing is too big in this world…for this world. The same Creator who uses the earth as his footstool is the same one who has given us the power to look at this same world as He does…..as a tool to get to the bigger picture. Back to thinking, and over thinking… Look at it this way – to have a lesson to teach passionately, you would have to be the specimen under scrutiny, for your pre-supposed students. You would have to be in that valley, to be able to direct and help guide somebody out of that same valley. In there though, be free to rise and free to fall, and don’t expect to control everything. Be peaceful and content enough to walk calmly through a threatening storm…don’t be afraid to let out a bit of laughter once in a while… Parting shot: Your heart beat is yours alone. Imagine the world as a band, or better yet, an orchestra. Every instrument in it has its beat and tremendously contributes. By being there it only makes the orchestra more wholesome…it has a purpose, and without it, something would be off. You are that instrument in this world, with your own special beat, so BEAT! The world needs you to BEAT! THAT IS SO TRUE IT HURTS!.....at times we fall to the pit of pity party thinking that there is nothing to life for us but Guess what all of us have a part to play in this world. If we all got our beats right...We could.....or just could change the world!......GOD BLESS YOU GAL!

Great point girl and well said. Valuing ourselves and the joy of life is something we take for granted...your timely reminder to treasure it was appreciated:-)
