The love of God is the most powerful evangelism tool that God has ever given to us. It is a ‘weapon’ that God himself used to win us to His kingdom (so it is tested and true) by loving the world and giving His only begotten Son. The love of God in both revelation and demonstration is the greatest and surest way of leading people to the cross of Christ and entirely into the Kingdom.

I mention revelation or revealed love, because many times we speak about the love of God as a cliché. However, in true reflection and revelation, the love of God wrought to us and the entire humanity through Christ is mind blowing.  To think that we were like sheep heading straight to the slaughter house of sin and death with no shepherd or someone to help us. To think that if we were to defend ourselves in the eternal court of God we still would have been charged guilty and sentenced to eternal separation from that precious love, which watches over the sparrow and knows the number of hair on our heads. To think that while we were still sinners, he became sin that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ. To think that while we were still sinners he died for us. And now we are no longer sinners but saints. It is this revelation that makes him irresistible for you, me and fallen humanity.

It is also in demonstrating this love to fellow saints and fallen humanity. It is very interesting to note ‘Christians’ (some not all) have a self righteous and judgmental attitude towards the world. They give verdict and concluded judgment for fallen humanity before they even witness to them or as they witness to them. Allow me to mention this very strongly to all of us. The accurate way of evangelism was always preceded by the Love of God, his plan and purpose for humanity, and the way to experience this entire good news package. This was then followed by the consequence of not accepting his good news package. The words of Christ were “I did not come to condemn the world, but to save. However whoever rejects me and my message is condemned already”. Read your bibles friends.

His order was always love, grace, mercy then consequences. The greatest revelation of the good news is that God is not counting men’s sins against them. On the contrary, He is reconciling them to himself through the man Jesus the Christ. You and I should live and move around telling fallen humanity that there is a way of escape, that there is freedom from the sin nature. We should be passionate about letting humanity know that grace and truth has been revealed to all men through the Lord. And that God is not mad at human beings. God loves people. GOD ALSO LOVES SINNERS.

It is this ‘love way’ of evangelism that will penetrate into the hearts of humanity in our generation. When the true love of Christ is revealed in our hearts and lives, then we will begin to see sinners come into the kingdom by the thousands.  When we follow the order of Christ in witnessing and sharing the gospel, we will begin to see much fruit. I am not saying that we have been doing nothing. I am simply saying we are meant to do much better. As we focus on the love, grace, purpose and destiny of humanity as it relates to the love and goodness of God as the primary objective of our evangelism.

Think for a moment. The most horrifying and terrifying thing in all eternity will be to live without the love, grace and purpose of the eternal king and Lord forever. The real revelation of hell is a life separate from him and all his goodness for eons and eons and eons of years. Whether there will be burning sulphur or whatever, just the fact of being away from the eternal creator as his creation is compelling enough. The realization of missing that entire glory of God, His pleasure, his love, grace and purpose should be enough to lead men to the Lord. (Of course the Holy Spirit is part of the plan).

As the scriptures say, the goodness of the Lord leads men to repentance. It is his love that wins human souls with the help of His blessed Spirit. God is love. That is his nature and everything he does is directed by this nature of love. Me and you, as well as the entire body of Christ must always respond in similar manner; the love manner. The love manner always looks forward for the best even in the vilest of sinners.

Remember what the Lord did with the lady caught in adultery, remember the tax collector, remember how dealt with the churches in revelation even though most of them were in error. He started by commending them and then followed it by correcting them. Remember the order of Pauline epistles, though most of the churches he wrote to were in problems, sins and error. He always started from the point of reminding them who they were in Christ and how important they were in the life of the body, before rebuking them.

Even God’s judgments and chastisements are always done because he loves us. God never judges to totally destroy. No way. God judges because he wants to restore and redeem.  Over and over he judged the Israelites, and it was always to redeem them to him. All of God’s judgments are done because He loves us, and that’s why we can always trust Him, knowing He only seeks to redeem us.
