Cross Movement Founder Passes | Print |  E-mail

Legendary Gospel group Cross Movement recently lost one of its founder members. Juan James aka Enock, passed away on October 17, 2009. Enock collapsed while at work from what is believed to be a massive heart attack. This was an unexpected occurence and a complete shock to his family, freinds and fans. All that is that Enock was reportedly being treated for hypertension and was on blood pressure medication to stabilize his blood pressure, but nothing indicated he would suffer a heart attack.

Enock was 35 years old. As one of the original members of Cross Movement, Enock was featured on the group's first three albums, Heaven's Mentality, House of Representatives, and Human Emergency. In 2001, he relocated to Houston, TX to work on his solo album, AWEthentic, with Much Luvv Records. The album was set for re-release in 2010. Earlier in 2009, Enock along with former label mate and former Cross Movement colleague Cruz Cordero, made a guest appearance on the song "Da Body" from The Tonic's album, The Dash. In Houston, he continued working underground with local rap ministries such as PHF Productions, AZA, CRS and Bless'T.
