No yuletide season is complete without a solid Christmas album to play over and over in line with the holiday cheer. This year, Gospel lovers have an additional reason to celebrate, with the release of Gotta Have Gospel! Christmas, featuring 15 of today’s most renowned Gospel acts in celebration of the birth of Christ.

The anthology comprises Christmas classics performed by Gospel’s top voices, including Mary Mary’s Oh Come All Ye Faithful, Donnie McClurkin’s rendition of Hark!The Herald Angels Sing as well as  as well as Yolanda Adams on Little Drummer Boy. A special classic treat on the album is Hallelujah, a 20-year old rendition from Handel’s Messiah Choir, which then featured Daryl Coley, Take 6, Commissioned and other acts.

Fred Hammond’s memorable rendition of Go Tell It To the Mountains and Martha Munizzi’s O Little Town of Bethlehem also make the cut, featured alongside American Idol finalist Mandisa with her stunning rendition of O Holy Night, this one produced by the multiple GRAMMY® award-winning Brown Banister. 

Away from the classics, Gotta Have Gospel! Christmas also has an award-winning array of modern tunes for the season. These include Kirk Franklin & The Family’s Now Behold The Lamb as well as a breathtaking duet of Israel Houghton and Cece Winans on We Wish You A Timeless Christmas.
