Classy launches have been coming at us hard and fast. Well, the launch of Kenya's largest and most comprehensive onlime music store, www.pewahewa.com, was no exception. Pewahewa.com, sister site to Mwafrika.com, was launched at a glitzy media event at the 5-Star Sarova Stanley Hotel on March 11 2010. In attendance to witness history in the making were eager stakeholders of the music fraternity, from players within the media world (both electronic and print), as well as artists, producers, entertainment entreprenuers, government officials and others.

Amani Maranga reprised his brilliant role from the Groove Awards launch, serving as a capable and engaging master of ceremony, as DJ Sparrxx served up musical refreshment. Both Kisima Winner Chizi and Groove Winner Juliani were present, both throwing down to the small exclusive audience. David Kuria of Mwafrika.com unveiled the website to the enthusiastic gathering, and remarks were made by Peter Enzeye, Logistics Manager of the Music Copyright Society of Kenya, and representing the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Communication Dr. Bitange Ndemo, was Mr. Anthony K. Mugambi, Program Manager of the Kenya ICT Board.

Check out how the event went, but be sure to read more about www.PewaHewa.com.
