Ever wondered what the future of the future of the music industry in this region looks like? Thought about how high speed Internet capacity, significant mobile phone penetration and innovative cash-transfer services would affect our music landscape? Well, come the 18th and 19th of March 2010, key music industry stakeholders get together for the inaugural iNgoma Music Summit, an exciting first of it's kind music-meets-digital technology summit.

An initiative of award-winning musician and recipient of the prestigious 2008 IYME (International Young Music Entrepreneur) award, Robert "R-Kay" Kamanzi, and in collaboration with the British Council, the summit will bring together the key players, policy makers and regulatory bodies to discuss, amongst other things, how digital technology is and will continue to impact the music industry both locally and globally.

During this exclusive summit, the keynote addresses will be given by, amongst others, celebrated UK music promoter and manager David Stopps (David Bowie, U2, Genesis, The Kinks) and author of the acclaimed book "How To Make A Living From Music".Others include Robert "R-Kay" Kamanzi (Online Marketing and Promotion), mobile value-added service provider Cellulant (Music is Mobile), Google (Make Money with Google), and Pewahewa.com (Now You Can Sell Your Music).

This Summit is an exclusive gathering of the top 120 industry players in the country, and will culminate in the launching of the iNgoma Talent Management agency. Stay with us, Mwafrika.com will bring you proceedings from the event.
