The ballot for the Groove Awards 2010 is set for release on Tuesday 30th of March 2010 at a press conference at a local Nairobi Hotel. This year's Awards show is set to be the biggest yet, with categories expanded to cater for a rapidly growing Gospel music market. Not only are the awards set to go regional, with award recipients set to come from 7 of the country's 8 provinces, categories from as far away as Rwanda and Burundi have been included.

This move, set to make the awards show the most representative within the region, is also set to establish Groove Awards as a true giant within the region and act as the perfect yardstick for an industry far out-growing and out-selling any other genre of music. And as usual, Mwafrika.com will be the first in the industry to announce the list of nominees. Check back on Tuesday 30th of March for a full listing.

Voting for the various categories kicks off immediately after and will run for a month until the 30th of April 2010. During this period, the Groove Tour will kick off, with road shows in Mombasa (4th April), Kisumu (11th April) and Nairobi (18th April) set to popularize the event. The awards ceremony is slated for the 1st of May at the Kenyatta International Conference Center. For all the information regarding Groove Awards, both past and present, you might want to check out our GROOVE AWARDS INFO CENTER.
