The nightly going-ons on Nairobi's Koinange Street is a subject many believers would rather not touch even with a ten-footer. Not so for unflinching playwright Oduor Anthony, known better to his contemporaries as Koa. In Confessions of a Harlot, Koa delves right into the murky waters of prostitution and the stories behind it and dares Christians to look the message of salvation in the eye, and face the truth that God can redeem anything and anyone.

Showing over the Easter weekend (3rd and 4th April 2010) at the Kenya National Theatre, Confessions of a Harlot is the story of Jasmine, a woman driven to prostitution as a desperate measure after running away from an abusive father and harsh living conditions. In the process, she meets a man that will forever change her life. Says Koa,

"Sometimes Christians feel that some things should not be talked about. But the truth is, these girls are just among us, they live with us, they sit on our pews in Church...My passion is to tell everybody in the world that whatever you go through, God can get you out of it. (Confessions of a Harlot) is a story of letting go and receiving Jesus..."

Make a date with Koa and his team this Easter for a truly inspiring story. Here are the full details:

This is how we christians should show love to those we think are lost. Jesus did not come for the righteuos, pious, Holy and so and so on...but He came for the sick, the burdened, sinners and all those the society considers outcasts, dirty rags...in that through their redemption He may be glorified and exalted.

He makes something beautiful of anyone's life Isaiah 61 vs 3...Beauty for ashes....
Praise be to Jesus our Lord!
