Israel Houghton was the big winner in the Gospel categories at the 41st Annual GMA Dove Awards that went down on April 21 2010 at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. His The Power of One scooped the Contemporary Gospel Song honor, with the same song tying with BeBe & CeCe's Just Wanna Say for the Urban Song award.
Fred Hammond returned to pick up his 9th Dove Award when Love Unstoppable won the Contemporary Gospel Album award, whilst Smokie Norful's Justified won the Traditional Gospel Song award. Other relevant winners in the Gospel category include Group 1 Crew (Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song) and KJ-52 (Rap/Hip Hop Album).
