November 18/19, Mavuno Dome - Thrill, excitement and exhilaration marked the most anticipated Gospel concert of the season, the Kenyan leg of the Unashamed Tour. Thousands of hip-hop lovers thronged Mavuno Dome to brave the chill of the night and witness some of Gospel's hip-hop greats throw it down on one stage in Nairobi for the first time ever, and they did not disappoint.

Introduced by their Dj PDogg, 116 Clique took turns on stage beginning with KB on the opening act. He was followed by Andy Mineo, with Tedashii, Trip Lee and Lecrae following. From throwbacks to fresh hits, the quartet oscillated between single and collaborative efforts, dropping among others Head to Heavens, Misfit, Ma City and Make War as well as Snitch, Superstar, Go Hard and the wildly popular Hero by Trip Lee. Screams rent the air as Lecrae, the last performer of the night came on, and he spent his time on stage dropping popular jams that included Joyful Noise, Don’t Waste Your Life, Background and God is Enough.

The fans gave the Reach Records artists the best gift they could give - singing word for word alongside their favorite acts, such that the concert hall felt for most of the night like one huge din of voices. Not satisfied with the bits of personal testimonies they all peppered their performances with, the crew rounded up their set with some serious preaching from Tedashii, with several hands going up at the altar call.

Local artists were also present to represent our talent, including Astar & Mr. T who doubled up as MCs, Eko Dydda, MC Dice, Psalms and others as well as several dance groups.

Despite their short journey, 116 Clique left an incredible mark in the minds of their fans with a gig that was worth attending ten times over!
