The Mo Sound Crew is a ministry that has geared its efforts to the development of our local gospel music industry. It's made up of a group of professional DJ's who have been on the scene for over 5 years.

Their target age group is between 15 and 30 years old, and they have been effectively and consistently able to minister to the youth.

Their theme attests to the fact that there is a greater variety of gospel music than is traditionally thought. They insist on the benefits of not only serving people in entertainment, but more so they seek to impart principles for spiritual growth direct from God's Word.

Mo Sound has run many events in the past, often been hired to assist in plays, musicals, fashion shows, concerts, weddings and so much more. Some of its events include:

J.C's Groove - This is a monthly event that brings together Nairobi 's youth to enjoy a time of wholesome gospel music, dance and ministry from an array of youth pastors. This event has been around for a number of years, and has been able to assist in the work of restoring young people from the effects of a destructive lifestyle of revelry and substance abuse, and providing a healthy alternative that promotes godliness.

Here, the music is strictly gospel, and from time to time motivational speakers present advice to the youth on straight talk, living clean and Christian related topics.

Mo Sound entertainment also handles the first and only recognized Gospel Music Awards ceremony in Kenya , the Groove Awards. These awards have given such luminaries as Roughtone, Henrie Mutuku and Esther Wahome more recognition not only amongst the youth, but also with local an international media. At the same time, up and coming artists the like of Neema, Fatmode and Jaal are given the platform they need to further their careers. Media houses and presenters partnering in the effort of furthering Gospel music also receive honorable mention.

Other events that can be credited to them include Speed Party and 1:10 Fingers . The former is an end year party targeting the youth. Last year alone, this event attracted slightly over 3,000 eager young people looking for good clean fun. The latter really is in the same vein as his earlier work with the DJ Academy. It is a competition that targets young Christian DJs and gives them the forum they need to exercise and grow their talent. The contest victor goes on to win the ultimate prize, a full scholarship to the DJ Academy where their skill can be further honed.

Hi, I'm a young entrepreneur and im really inspired by you. As a youth im looking for advice I'd like to know how you got where you are now and what were the challenges. Personally I'd say as a youth all the odds are against me but I guess thats the best way to succeed.
Your feedback would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

Kudos for the good job that u r doing and keep on keeping on.
Since u started your shows in the nation they have been of good to us since u offer us a chance to serve u and the public at large but our problem is the way n what we are paid as wages at the end of your events.
We would really like you to take it upon yourselves to be paying us directly after the shows for the person you entrust to do that is an exploiter who takes advantage of the position he hold and for sourcing the job.
As much as he must get his share for the sourcing and organising the bouncers kshs700 is very minimal.

Kshs700 is too little compared to the 10 hours that we work.
All we are urging you to do is persuade your security provider to improve the wages of bouncers/security at your events .
Have a good day
