Alwan Communications Limited is a development media company involved in the production of video, radio productions, print and general materials to promote learning, awareness and public relations.

Since its inception in 1986 the company has developed and produced over thirty video films and a number of audio/radio productions. Examples of our quality video works include; Metamo, a project funded by The Netherlands Embassy and Our World , an international award winning video sponsored by UNICEF. Our radio and television experience includes radio programmes for Gender and Development Center, Institute of Education in Democracy (IED) and television series for the United Nations Development programme (UNDP) and the Kenya Government, radio and documentary films for DFID,Action Aid Kenya,Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries Development, and Lake Victoria Fisheries Organization, CKRC and Higher Education Loans Board.

Alwan Communications has an open approach to all kinds of projects. While we can develop a project for a client right from the idea to the finished product, the client also has a choice of bringing work to us at whatever stage of the project. You may choose for example, to write your own script or do your own filming and we finish the rest. Every job is costed after conclusive discussions so that our rates are made, as much as possible, in conformity with the client's budget estimates.

To facilitate professional work for varied clientele, we have fully equipped state of the art radio and video production studio, equipment, and desktop publishing facility.

Alwan Communications Ltd has two competent directors who have distinguished themselves as experts in their areas of specialization and as competent managers.

    * Producing a series of radio and television programmes for Department for International Development (Budget 22,000 Euros).
    * Radio production series for Gender and Development Center on Kenya Broadcasting Corporation KBC (Budget 3,600 Euros).
    * Producing and Broadcasting anti-Gender Violence radio series on Nation FM radio sponsored by United Nation Development UNDP & Government of Kenya GoK (Budget 71,500 Euros)
    * Organizing and Managing Public Forums on Gender and HIV/AIDS sponsored by United Nations Fund For Women UNIFEM (Budget 21,400 Euros)
    * Producing radio programmes and television infomercials for electoral Commission of Kenya- ECK (Budget 6,500 Euros)
    * Media consultancy for Kenya Medical Association KMA on Termination of Pregnancy (Budget 14,300 Euro)
    * Production of Homeless at Home, a video documentary on the landless in Kenya fort Kenya Land Alliance . (Budget 12,800 Euro)
    * We have written, produced and presented HIV/AIDS drama and comedy skits series for the Ministry of Information and Tourism and the Ministry of Transport and Communications used during their staff workshop and sensitization programmes.

It is important that you also include issues pertaining to Environment crisis.Mother Nature is God given and we need to protect it as it is required by God.Let us not destroy that that has been granted to us.We need to be eco-responsible!I will be glad to contribute.

The youth werefallin into traps like HIV/AIDS mainly because they did nott have anyone who could talk to them in a way or a language that they could understand. You changed all that and now they can be safe thanks to you. Am in my fourth year majoring in broadcast and video production at JKUAT and am willing to my services to you. Bigups.
