Enkare Studios is the brain child of co-owners Eric Wainaina , his fiancé Sheba and Tim “Ennovator” Rimbui.

Tired of putting up late night after late night at various production houses, they realised it was time that they set up their own production outfit.

At the time, they had logged many hours at the Kibukosya 's Samawati Studios, working late after everyone else had finished, and often driving home early morning.

Realising they had to be more effective in the industry, they decided to pool their resources and
embark on a studio of their own.

Preparation for the studio started in the middle of 2004, and by January 2005 they were ready to open their doors. Now located in Kasarani, only a few hundred metres from USIU-Africa, this fully digital studio has developed some of the country's finest talent.

Enkare Music
Some of the exciting talents that have worked with Enkare include:

  • KORA winner Neema (DNG)
  • Eric Wainaina (Chizi)
  • Kaz (Didge)
  • Nameless (Mr Lenny)
  • Gospel Fathers
  • Pam (Sema) …and others

The studio has been concentrating on recording solo artist / small group projects. Nonetheless their recording booth was designed envisioning live band projects and has a capacity of fifteen pax. Enkare are now looking forward to setting up the studio to produce live bands.

TIM

His production skills have helped him bag more KORA awards than any of his contemporaries. He is co-founder of one of the country's premier production houses. He has had the opportunity to undertake production and engineering training in Europe. Small wonder he is one of the industry's most sought after and highly regarded producers.

ERIC

As a former founder member of trailblazing accapella group 5-Alive, KORA award winner Eric Wainaina has been an iconic figure in Kenya 's music scene. Trained in the ‘Harvard' of music schools, Berkeley College in Boston , USA , his pedigree as an artist, musician and producer is unquestionable. Having studied a minor in music production, his production is different from many of his peers – it comes from a more schooled approach.
