Sakata is a Christian organization geared to spreading the word of the God through music, spoken word and art. Our prime aspect of operation and the theme of ministry has been Reconciliation:

  • Reconciliation of the prodigal son back to the Father (soul).
  • Reconciliation of the body of Christ back to the point of impact, relevance and saltiness towards the community (fellowship).
  • Reconciliation in the perspective that God is raising himself a prophetic voice that will bring the glory back to the church (molding ministers).

Sakata Music Ministry is subdivided into two branches: -

Mission Sakata - This is the evangelistic arm of the ministry that is involved in school tours, church visits and crusades, missions to children homes, slums and hospitals. (A branch that enables them to relevantly affect the land with their saltiness.)

Sakata Music - An aspect of the ministry that is set to mould ministers and also raises God a standard in music and artistry. The departments that enable this are:

Sakata studio (an audio recording studio),

Sakata store (a distribution company for local gospel music and merchandise)

Gospel Garage

Sakata Music Ministry launched on 1st Jan 2006 at an event aimed at delivering Kenya's youth - who presently comprise over 70% of the population.

Their theme of ministry has been reconciliation, with and their mission - restoration. About their calling and name they say:

"God has placed upon us a burden and passion for the youth, thus we not only want to reach them but also impact them with the Gospel of restoration as we reconcile them back to Christ. We therefore wanted a name that they will relate to and also a name that is symbolic to our mission."

Realising that Kenya's youth relate and identify with diverse products and events, they've positioned themselves to reach out uniquely. They have embraced associated events like The Ignition (Secular event) and Speed party (Gospel event).

Seekers Parlor

Sakata music ministry is presently preparing to launch a free weekly event btitled “Seekers Parlor”.

This midweek event will be comprised of an hour of worship and an hour of sharing the Word.

Their hope is that this event will achieve a lifestyle consistency of worship, nourishment and exhortation. In the past their audience has been treated mainly to their music, and this has predominantly been in April, August and December - the major seasons for musical events and shows.

They feel they are now obligated to bring their audience to a realization that God wants his people to embrace what they call the “Gospel of Tears”. This is where His people, called by His name, assess the land, identify its dilemmas, then incubate them in their spiritual wombs and travail in intersession until God heals the land.

God has placed a burden upon them, giving them a burden for the youth. Thus they take every opportunity to share this with their audience, in the hope that they may express the their heartbeat and have a positive affect this generation.
