Our History A former Media Producer & presenter in Nation Broadcasting Division, as well as a one time Head of Radio at TBN Family Media, Talents Alive Founder & Creatives Manager, Eric Gitau (Maq C) has had several clients – (individuals & Corporates) sample & benefit immensely from his personal management & consultancy services since 1999. As an individual entity, he has offered such services ( personal branding, strategic marketing plans, media liaisons, sponsorship location, financial planning, event planning, management & hosting, etc ) to a couple of industry practitioners.
Remember that old axiom: Speak the truth & shame the devil? Well, agents, managers & promoters don't have a very good appeal in the industry and beyond… the few there have been have ended up appearing in highly publicised cases of illegal conducts. These few “bad apples” have given such a negative sentiment to the whole business of Talent management and representation. It is widely viewed as an occupation for corrupt & unscrupulous actors who take advantage of amateur/professional creatives in favour of their own proprietary self-interest. Much as protecting oneself from the claws of these warped individuals & tainted agencies is a noble & understandable disclaimer, a creative practitioner who will do & be the best they can, will not preclude the services of an honest, integral, professional talent manager by his/her side. A redefiner by design, Eric set out to give a whole new meaning to, & refine this already abused & misused industry. Taking this as a positive challenge, Eric first formed Creatives Management Agency (CMA) in 2004. Based on unfolding insight, and a resolute to bring a new order in this highly fretted field, CMA later beget Talents Alive.
